The legend
A legend tells of three sisters, Zhe, Na and Bia, given life by the forces of nature. Their mother is the fertile earth, their father the flowing water, and they were born through fire, lit by the collective human spirit.
The middle sister
Na
A true warrior, agile and quick, silent and strong. She is the shield, the champion and the power.
The youngest
Bia
The temptress, the most fallible, the most mystifying. Bia compels us to reveal the unknown.
Zhenabia lives between the three: nature and the human hand, the real and the surreal.

The atelier
Made by hand in Istanbul
Every piece is cut, sewn and finished by hand in our Istanbul atelier, by a small team of makers who have been with us for years. Nothing is rushed.
We make a small production every year, because this is the pace at which things are made well and made to last.

We choose natural, cruelty-free fabrics for how they feel on the skin and how they age with you.

Many of our pieces are dyed with root dyes, so no two are exactly alike.

We cut with care and give leftover fabric a second life wherever we can.
The founder
Nisan Ergün
Zhenabia was founded by Nisan Ergün, a designer and artist who moves between fashion, painting, ceramics, music and poetry.
Her clothes come from the same place as all of her work: a feeling first, then a form. Zhenabia is where that feeling becomes something you can wear.
